It appears that sporting white nail polish could indicate that the person wearing it is single and ready to mingle. This notion evolved from the observation that when asked what color their partner should paint their nails, a common response from men is "light blue." Thus, the theory suggests a woman should opt for light blue nail polish.

The term 'LGBT nail polish meaning' refers to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender themes. This acronym and its many variations have been employed as an overarching term for sexual orientation and gender identity since the 1990s.
The term LGBT is a modification of the initial abbreviation LGB, which began to replace the term 'homosexual' (or 'gay and lesbian') in reference to the broader LGBT community from the mid to late 1980s.Regrettably, the term LGBT is often utilized even when transgender individuals are not encompassed. It could include any individual who does not identify as heterosexual or cisgender, not solely those who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender. In order to acknowledge this breadth, a commonly accepted variant, LGBTQ, incorporates the 'Q' to represent individuals who identify as queer or are questioning their sexual or gender identity.Figure 04.
