Identify Nail Art Brushes - All Technician Needs to Know

Nail art is one of the most popular services on the beauty market today. Nail technicians require specific skills, and to serve those skills is a set of quality nail art brushes. Each type of brush will have different shapes and uses, helping workers to manipulate it more accurately.

Let's find out what kinds of meetings are available and how to choose a quality brush!

Identify Nail Brushes

1. Paddle Brush

The paddle brush is the most common in nail polish bottles. The hair part easily bends to sweep the nail more profoundly into the cuticle. The primary use of the meeting is to cover and apply the base color for the entire nail.

2. Nail Liner Brush/ Detail Brush

This brush is used to draw small details that require meticulousness and high precision. The long bristles and the thin brush head help the nail technician go for light and straight strokes without shaking hands. Some uses of nail liner brushes include:

  • Draw lines, stripes, and horizontal lines
  • Draw small details
  • Draw geometric patterns

Liner brushes can be purchased separately or in a nail polish bottle.

3. Striper Brush

Unlike paddle and liner brushes, striper brush has a round, pointed tip, and the bristles stick together, not spread out. With such a design, the striper brush can easily be used to draw thin and long lines, creating delicate details. However, gently pull the meeting straight to avoid making unsightly jagged marks. The striper brush can be divided into the long striper brush and the short striper brush (stripe tote brush).

4. Shader brush

The shader brush is a type of brush commonly used when drawing nails. It is used when drawing extensive details, wide plates, or color bands. The shader brush is designed with a wide, flat, and short tip. There are three types of meeting, shader, angular or pointed. You can use a shader brush for:

  • 3D flowers
  • Leaves
  • Color shade
  • Ombre effect

5. Angular Brush

The brush has a flat tip similar to a shader brush, but the information is cut diagonally to one side. An acrylic nail art brush set can include many angular meetings with different sizes to help you customize the line when painting. In addition to being commonly used to paint the tip of the nail (French tip), the angular brush is also used to paint dichromatic flowers or apply a thin gel film.

This brush is easy to recognize just by its name. The meeting has a broad tip like a fan, with many bristles; depending on the type, the strands can be thick or thin. When dipping the brush in the paint, the brush head will be separated to create long streaks that do not stick together. This brush is used for decorating zigzag lines, creating a splash effect, applying glitter or powder, and dusting glitter or excess powder on nails.

8. Dotting Tool

The dotting tool helps you make beautiful polka dots or comma strokes. The brush is unique because it has no bristles, and the tip is a small metal ball. This will help the brush head to be solid and easy to dab onto the nail to create tiny round dots. Dotting tools are often used to draw floral patterns quickly without too much detail.
