How Long Does It Take to Become a Nail Tech in MI

To become a nail tech in MI, you must finish 400 education hours or 6 months apprenticeship.  

License Nail Technician State Requirements

To get a license, you have to pass two licensing exams. You must pay a fee of $200 for the test. 

The certificated nail technician has to renew the nail technician license every 2 years. You do not need additional education hours when renewing the nail technician license. The cost for the initial application fee will be $15. Your current yearly renewal charge is $24. They charge an extra $20 if you renew late.
